Theo’s Story
Following closely in Avery’s pawprints, Theo has quickly stolen the hearts of those around him – in a very different way. Where Avery was reserved and confident, Theo is unabashedly enthusiastic about life and simultaneously wary of anything that doesn’t align with his scheduled routine. Instead of being Chief of the Fun Police, Theo is the one being policed by the other Corgis. He is happy, hilarious, and quirky. He helped heal my heart when I lost Avery, and I’m so thankful that he fills that void while being completely himself.
At the barn, Theo patrols the area, watching for squirrels, lizards, bugs, and other intruders. He greets every car that arrives and hopes each one might contain his best friend/girlfriend, Ruby. If not, he’ll happily take any treats available but holds carrots at the highest value.
As a puppy, Theo developed his skills as a thief – silently stealing grooming brushes and hoofpicks left at Corgi height and depositing them in a pile outside the barn. Now, he’s honed his craft, and can easily pull carrots and sugar cubes out of their respective containers without being noticed; quickly trotting outside to either hoard them or eat them.
My first AKC-bred puppy, Theo has grown into his place beside me. He is endlessly entertaining, full of energy, and is a 5-star cuddle bug…as long as none of his friends are watching.
